As stated in a recent post in the community I set up for this website, Locals doesn’t require money for membership to groups, that’s only for locked, monetized content, and only if the owner of the community chooses to post locked content for paying subscribers. Not everyone does that though (I don’t) and even those who do often post free content alongside the exclusive stuff for paying supporters.
